METALLICA Frontman Visits Camden County Customs Shop In Australia; Photos Available
September 20, 2010Macarthur Chronicle reports that METALLICA frontman James Hetfield — who is a well-known car enthusiast — visited the Camden County Customs shop at Smeaton Grange in Camden, New South Wales, Australia on Sunday, September 19.
According to shop owner Terry Wood's wife Raquel, Hetfield was a guest of the Harrington Park owners of a custom Cadillac built there.
Hetfield had lunch at Camden Valley Inn, whose duty manager that day said the METALLICA singer drank lemonade and ate a Wagyu beef burger.
"He was a really nice guy," Elderslie's Mark Lundy told the Macarthur Chronicle. "I just happened to have my (Fender Stratocaster) guitar in the boot of the car, and I asked him if he wouldn't mind signing it.
"He said, 'Not a problem, mate.' Word spread pretty quickly that he was there."
